The world’s fastest breed of bird makes a rare appearance at a public display when falconer Ben Long brings Dinky, a three-year-old male peregrine falcon, to the County Show.
Peregrines are officially the world's fastest living creatures, which can reach speeds of well over 200 mph in a "stoop" or dive.
At the Show he will fly Eureka, a seven-year-old male Barn Owl, who swoops into the hands of young volunteers from the audience, and Gripper, a seven-year-old male Harris hawk, who will be doing the same with older volunteers.
If weather permits, Ben will fly a kite or balloon high in the air (maybe 500ft or more) with a lure suspended underneath, and get a falcon to climb up and bring it down into the ring.
Between performances visitors can meet Ben and his magnificent birds on an interactive display.
