Devonians who earn their living by working woodlands have suffered an horrendous year due to the problems caused by the weather, disease and the financial recession.

Despite these problems, the exhibitors in the woodland section will be returning to display the commitment and knowledge that help produce woodlands that are such an important part of the economy and landscape of the county of Devon.

The feature will provide a ‘one stop shop’ for anyone who wants to learn more about trees and woodlands. The Forestry Commission will give current advice on grants and disease management. Managers and contractors will be available to give advice on care of trees and woodlands. Nurseries will have displays of trees and shrubs for choosing the right tree for the right place.

Children will be able to explore the woodland and nature trails with help from Bicton College, the Woodland Trust and the National Trust.
