Acorn Ecology press release: New nature trail at the Show
14 May 2011
This year at the prestigious Devon County Show, Acorn Ecology Ltd have organised a brand new ‘Nature Trail’ for all to enjoy.
Acorn Ecology Ltd is situated within the grounds of Westpoint and have therefore chosen to involve themselves with the Devon County Show by producing a nature trail.
The nature trail is located in one of the woods within the Showground and Acorn Ecology hopes it will give visitors a chance to learn something new and experience some of the magnificent British flora and fauna.
Acorn Ecology have constructed five pages of fun fact-filled information on species that can occur in a British woodland, ranging from Bluebells to Rabbits which can be seen along the path of the Nature Trail.
By following the designated path around the woodland not only will you get a chance to learn something new you might also be able to put your newly acquired knowledge to immediate use. One of the highlights of the trail is the ‘Woodland Birds’ sign, this sign informs you of the different types of woodland birds that could be found at Westpoint. It also includes pictures to help you identify the birds if you have a keen eye. The sign also describes the bird songs and if you keep an ear out during the walk you might just hear the chirps of woodland birds.
